Autopsy Will Confirm Body Pulled from Chestnut Hill Reservoir is Missing Boston College Student [VIDEO]

Preliminary information indicates the body is that of Franco Garcia. An autopsy will likely reveal whether any foul play was involved.

Updated 1:46 p.m. with more information from the scene. Seven weeks after he went missing, officials say that the body pulled from Chestnut Hill Reservoir this morning is that of West Newton resident and Boston College student Franco Garcia. According to Suffolk County District Attorney Daniel Conley, preliminary information shows that the body in the reservoir is Garcia. Conley said items found on the body as well as clothing helped officials identify Garcia. Officials will be able to "absolutely" confirm the identification once a full autopsy is complete, Conley said. On-Foot Search for Missing Boston College Student Scheduled for this Afternoon

The search for missing Boston College student Franco Garcia intensified today. Garcia's family is asking today for help with an on-foot search. They will lead search teams for Franco. The Facebook Group for Missing Student: Franco Garcia has posted, asking everyone who can help to meet at the Chestnut Hill Reservoir on the St. Thomas More street side. The post says  at 3 p.m., they will divide up into teams to search the surrounding area. Friends are Tweeting information about Garcia and updates from their search from the Twitter handle @FindFranco.
