Armed Suspect Robs Newton Woman Near Chestnut Hill T Stop
One of the two suspects reportedly had a handgun when they approached the victim on Reservoir Avenue in Newton.
Newton Police are investigating a reported armed robbery that occurred Thursday in Chestnut Hill near Boston College and the Chestnut Hill T stop. According to police reports, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Reservoir Avenue and Hammond Street around 6:37 p.m. for reports of an armed robbery. The victim, a 48-year-old Newton woman, told police she was on her way home from the Chestnut Hill T stop when the robbery occurred. The woman said she was walking northbound on the southbound side of Reservoir Avenue around 6:30 p.m. when she passed two males who were walking southbound on the northbound side of the road.
