Is Christina's in Newton Highlands Closing? Not So Fast!

While it may seem that Christina's location is for sale, owner Christina Patsios provides some clarification

As locals know, the Newton restaurant scene is constantly changing as eateries come and go.  Over the last couple days, local residents have sent Tweets and emails to Newton Patch asking about one local spot -- Christina’s in Newton Highlands -- and whether it may be closing its doors.  But owner Christina Patsios clarifies that this may not, in fact, be the case. While there currently exists a listing on real estate site Zillow that would indicate the location is for sale, Patsios states that she is not yet certain she will be selling her restaurant. From the basic beef burger to some exotic variations, fabulous burgers can be found all over Newton. These are our picks for where to get your hands around a great patty.

The origins of the hamburger are a bit of a mystery (really, who first thought of chopping up meat and making it into a patty?), but nobody questions the deliciousness of a juicy burger on a well-toasted bun complemented with all of your favorite toppings and condiments.  Metropolitan Club – It’s still up for debate whether Met Bar is in Brookline or Newton, but their burgers are definitely worth “crossing the border” for either way.
