Middle school students used the page to insult classmates anonymously.
School officials at Oak Hill Middle School warned parents of a case of cyberbullying using Facebook. An "insult" Facbook page has been set up by Oak Hill students to criticize each other, reported WCVB Channel 5. The school sent parents notices letting them know about the "Ohms Insult Page" and another called "Ohms Compliment Page," where most of the posts are positive, according to WCVB. According to the report, posts included that one student has many chins and another is “fat and too clinging,” according to the report. School officials said they will seek out the the authors of the pages, WCVB reported. they also encouraged parents to have their children remove their names from the page and not make comments. Every once in awhile, Facebook makes changes that users either love or hate. Over the last few months, the social media giant has changed its "algorithm" on how to sort users' news feeds—which means that just because you signed up for a page's status updates, it doesn't mean you're going to get them.
