SOUND OFF: Are Food Trucks in Newton a Good Idea?

Three aldermen have officially docketed an item to discuss food trucks in Newton -- but what do you think?

From crepes to kimchi, sausage to shawarma -- food trucks are creeping their way into a city near you.  How about Newton?  Aldermen Ted Hess-Mahan, Amy Sangiolo and Greer Tan Swiston have officially docketed an item proposing an ordinance "promoting economic development and the mobile food truck industry in the city of Newton." The item will be considered by the Programs & Services, Public Facilities, Zoning and Planning and Finance committees before it goes before the full Board of Aldermen.
