New Principal Selected for Newton's Lincoln-Eliot Elementary

After several years of interim principals at Lincoln-Eliot Elementary, Superintendent David Fleishman announced this week that he has officially appointed a new principal for the Nonantum elementary school. Marcia Uretsky, current principal at Tucker Elementary School in Milton, will begin July 1, 2013 as the new head of Lincoln-Eliot Elementary, according to a memo issued to the Lincoln-Eliot community this week. In his memo, Fleishman notes Uretsky's efforts to improve student achievement at the Tucker School and her reputation as an instructional and managerial leader.
