Take Part in Live Chat During Presidential Debate Tonight

Patch will be joined by local Massachusetts party officials and you can take part in the conversation.

Join Patch starting at 8:30 p.m. tonight for a live chat during the presidential debate between President Barack Obama and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.  Here in Newton, we'll he heading to some local debate watch parties to talk with locals who are active in their political communities -- and you will be able to join the conversation too. Patch will also be joined by local Massachusetts party officials who will discuss the debate as it happens. Come back to this site at 8:30 p.m. for a pre-debate discussion and then participate as you watch the first debate, which starts at 9 p.m.

Romney-Ryan Camp to Hold Fundraisers in Chestnut Hill This Week

A reception and fundraiser will be held followed by a "Romney Victory Dinner".

Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney and running mate Paul Ryan will be making their way to Chestnut Hill this week for two high-end campaign fundraisers.  A reception at the home of former Reebok CEO Paul Fireman will be held this Friday, Sept. 28, according to a report in the Boston Globe.  The reception will be followed by a "Romney Victory Dinner" at home of former Bain & Co. employee and New England Patriots President Jonathan Kraft. The reception at the Fireman's home is reportedly $2,500 per person, the Globe reported, and a "VIP reception" with Paul Ryan is running at $50,000 per person.  The dinner at Kraft's home has a suggested contribution level of $75,000 and is open to contributors who raise $100,000 from other …
