How to Help Newton's Food Pantries

Give back to your neighbors and your local food pantry this holiday season.

While many of us are thinking about about what dish to bring to the family Thanksgiving dinner this year, thousands of Massachusetts residents are worried about whether they'll have food on the table at all.  According to Project Bread, 10.8 percent of Massachusetts households were food insecure in 2010, the highest rate in Massachusetts since the data was first collected in 1995.  So what can you do to help? You can donate to Massachusetts organizations like Project Bread, a program that often helps out local food pantries here in Newton.
