The yearly tree lighting and community sing-a-long starts at 4 p.m.
Although the last few 60-degree days haven't made it feel much like the holiday season, locals are geared up for Newton's holiday lighting ceremony tomorrow at City Hall. The annual kick-off to the holiday season starts at 4 p.m. with a family sing-a-long lead by The Stacey Peasley Band. When the songs are finished, Mayor Setti Warren will flip the switch at 5 p.m. to turn on the stunning light display at City Hall grounds. The evening will include a "special surprise guest" as well as refreshments. For more information, contact Newton Community Pride at contactus@newtoncommunitypride.org or call 617-527-8283.
