The popular frozen yogurt chain will be opening a location at The Street in Chestnut Hill.
Following the recent opening of Sports Club/LA, City Sports, Pottery Barn and Shake Shack, it looks as though another new tenant at The Street is ready for customers. Pinkberry will officially open to the public next week, starting with a grand opening celebration on Thurs., April 4 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., a company spokesman told Newton Patch Thursday. Thursday's celebration will feature "three free swirling hours" where the public can enjoy free frozen yogurt as well as raffles, giveaways and a chance to win free Pinkberry for a year. The City Sports will be reopening in the new building next door and Century Bank will be moving to the new Chestnut Hill Square development.
[Updated 12:20 p.m. with information on the City Sports opening date.] As one building goes up, another comes down. If you travel Route 9 often, you've probably noticed a few new piles of rubble at The Street in Chestnut Hill, as the building that housed City Sports and Century Bank was recently torn down. The tear-down is just a few doors away from The Street's new, 115,000-square-foot building that will house a number of new restaurants and retail stores, including a new City Sports location, a Sports Club/LA, Pinkberry and Showcase Super Lux movie theater.
