Newton to Hold First Walk/Bike Week
The week will feature events highlighting alternate modes of transportation.
Planes, trains and automobiles? How about bicycles, MBTA trains and walking routes? The city of Newton will be promoting alternate modes of transportation during its first ever Walk/Bike Week from September 28 - October 5. Throughout the Newton Walk/Bike Week, the city will offer a number of events, activities and workshops focused on getting residents out of their cars. The event, which was announced last week, is part of the city's 13 Villages, One Villages campaign launched earlier this summer A full list of Walk/Bike Week events is included below.
