Solomon Schechter Day School to Develop New Athletic Complex in Newton
Two $1 million gifts will help build the athletic complexes.
Thanks to two generous gifts, the Solomon Schechter Day School is planning to build a brand new athletic complex at its Upper School on Wells Avenue in Newton. Schechter grandparents Barbara and Frank Resnek and Schechter friends Christina and Mike Gordon donated two $1 million gifts to the school that will help build the athletic complex, according to a press release issued by Solomon Schechter earlier this week. The new, "state-of-the-art" athletic complex will include a high school regulation-sized outdoor synthetic turf field, improved outdoor lighting and upgrades to the indoor athletic field facility, the press release said.
