They may only be in elementary school, but that doesn't mean they can't make a difference. The 5th graders at Williams Elementary School recently raised $500 for the Red Cross to help Hurricane Sandy relief efforts, according to a press release on the Newton Public Schools website. Each year, the 5th graders typically put together several fundraising efforts to help fund special activities that take place around their graduation. This year, though, the students decided to put some of their efforts toward helping those who had been devastated by Hurricane Sandy.
