Amy Cody, Neighbor

For the past six years, Amy has served as the <strong>Manager of Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts’s Let&#39;s Be Honest! parent education program</strong>. She was a PPLM community health educator for three years prior, developing and teaching comprehensive sexuality education to middle and high school students, youth in DSS and DYS care, and parent groups and professionals who work with youth. Amy also has worked as a field supervisor for graduate and undergraduate students at Wheelock College, an elementary school teacher, and an environmental sciences teacher at the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

Amy lives in Newton and has served as a PTO President for her children’s elementary, middle and high schools and on the board of The Cambridge School of Weston, an independent secondary day and boarding school.  She volunteers for The Second Step, a transitional program for women and children who are survivors of domestic violence.  Amy enjoys playing doubles tennis very loudly, is learning to hit a golf ball more than 5 feet, and is a fledgling bird watcher. She and her husband enjoy the company of their 25-year-old son and a 23-year-old daughter whenever possible.
