Maxine-and-Mark Bridger, Neighbor

We have lived in Newton Upper Falls since 1970. We served as officers of the Emerson PTA and the Emerson After-School Program, and fought to keep the Ralph Waldo Emerson Elementary School open. After the school was closed in 1979 our 3 children eventually graduated from Countryside.

Since then we have been active in Upper Falls issues; Mark currently serves on the Board of the Upper Falls CDC and is a member of the Upper Falls Advisory Council

We are both recently retired. Maxine was the long-time Chair of the Mathematics Department at the Cambridge School of Weston, while Mark was a professor of mathematics at Northeastern University.
