Ronna Benjamin, Neighbor

I live in Chestnut Hill with my husband Mike and my old yellow lab Sophie.  Our three children, 25, 22 and 18 are mostly out of the house.  The youngest just finished her freshman year of college, and the other two are pretty much off the payroll.  We have lived in Newton for 25 years and love it.  I worked as a real estate attorney for about 28 years.  I recently gave up my law practice to write!  Now I write a blog, www.100sleeplessnights.com and I am also the Boston managing editor for www.betterafter50.com.  I came to writing late in life (if 50 can be considered late in life.)  Really, I had not written anything that did not have a "THEREFORE, in consideration of which" in it since high school.  When I started to get close to my 50's, I started to have difficulty sleeping, and would wake at 4:00AM, worried about, well, life....so I wrote to ease the anxiety.  I loved it.  The rest is history.  Hope you enjoy my blogs about living in Newton, being a middle-ager, and life with adult children.
