Shawn Fitzgibbons is the co-chairman of the Newton Democratic City Committee. In that role Shawn is leading efforts of the Democratic Party in Newton to elect Democrats to statewide and federal offices.

Currently the NDCC is focused on re-electing President Obama, electing Elizabeth Warren to the United States Senate, electing a Democrat to succeed Congressman Barney Frank, re-electing State Representative Kay Khan and ensuring Democrats hold the offices of Governor's Council and Register of Deeds.
