Prana Restaurant Closes its Doors

The owners of the Newton Corner vegan restaurant have sold the eatery to focus more on their yoga studio, writing and family.

Driving through Newton this week, you may notice one less open door in Newton Corner.

The -- formerly Prana Cafe -- closed its doors earlier this week, according to a post from a Boston Magazine food blog. The vegan restaurant was located a few doors down from the Prana Yoga studio.

On the restaurant's website, owners Taylor and Philippe Wells say that they have sold the business so they can focus on their yoga studios, children and writing. The statement is as follows:

Much gratitude for your beautiful presence at our restaurant over the last two years. It’s been a fun adventure that we enjoyed very much. It was our dharma to open Prana Restaurant and educate the community about the benefits of raw vegan food but not to continue to run it.

Our Spirits have spoken and guided us to put all of our energy toward our five children, five yoga studios, and Taylor’s writing. We are finding the best owners ever to whom we will joyfully pass the baton. So until then, have the best day ever!
