Making Informed Financial Decisions on College

Is money an issue as you and your student prepare for college? It is not often that money is not an issue, particularly since college costs have risen 100% over the past ten years! Learn about your Expected Family Contribution and how there are two of them, one derived from the Federal Formula and one from the Institutional Formula. Which one will your child be subject to? Or will it be both? Do you know? Learn about the importance Enrollment Management has in today’s admissions process and how it will affect your student’s ability to gain acceptance and be able to pay for college. How will this affect you and your student’s search for not only a strong academic “fit” but also a financially viable one that will allow mom and dad to have a life after college? Get a perspective on this from someone who worked in the financial aid office of a private university and has been counseling families on college affordability for more than 15 years. This workshop will be most beneficial to families with rising sophomores and juniors in high school, but is open to all who wish to learn about the intricacies of the college funding process.
