219 Newton Residents Running Boston Marathon

About 36,000 people are expected to run the Boston Marathon on Monday.

There are 219 Newton residents registered to run the race. Check out the full list in the charts above.

Note: The 219 total applies to runners who listed their hometown as "Newton." There about 70 more runners from the city's villages, like Auburndale and Waban. They are also listed in the charts above. 

The marathon is expected to be an emotion-filled event following last year's bombings. Officials have instituted a host of security measures. And unlike in previous years, unregistered "bandit" runners will be prohibited.
